Our support package for individuals includes:
An initial assessment with each service user to identify their specific individual circumstances to create a tailored support plan, and weekly support sessions towards a 12-month target of integration into society for independent living.
Health and well-being support for primary healthcare services such as registering with a local GP, opticians, or more specified health requirements i.e. learning disability and mental health services.
Developing social networks and social skills via group sessions for interaction with others, encouraging key initial stages of personal development such as appearance and personal hygiene which will in turn enhance self-confidence.
Accessing community facilities and local amenities to develop their interpersonal skills for integration into society.
Maximising the economic well-being for service users by assisting them to access all of the benefits and financial help available to them, including money advice services to encourage a conscious effort of maintaining their financial independence.
Computer skills, focusing primarily on literacy and numeracy with the aid of a resource hub where they can attend throughout the week with WiFi access.
Support for accessing education where we are liaising with Sandwell College for career and employment opportunities in line with their personal aspirations and support plan.
Help with skills required to maintain a tenancy (housing benefit claims, budgeting, environmental awareness, health and safety).
Life skills in areas such as dealing with correspondence, housekeeping, planning meals, shopping, cooking and cleaning.
Emotional support - providing a safe space of privacy and confidentiality for service users who may become depressed or lonely, helping them with specific issues which may include debt counselling, domestic violence, anti-social behaviour, substance abuse and addictions, health
Rehabilitation and directing them to the appropriate professional services when necessary, such as the police, NHS or Citizens Advice Bureau.
Safeguarding is always ensured for our service users, protecting the safety and rights for all users and staff. We have CCTV in all communal areas and third-party security contracts safeguarding the building entirely.
A warm space - providing a place of warmth for periods of the day when tenants may not be able to afford heating.
Help with any housing maintenance, repairs or complaints to resolve any issues that may arise affecting their daily living.
A digital documentation and notes uploading system, enabling case files, notes and all documents to be live and updated immediately.
An outreach centre where we can provide ongoing support and empowerment for tenants to have continual self-sufficiency and confidence building.
Attendance to any tenant's personal emergency or intervention requirement with a dedicated out-of-hours service available
